I received my undergraduate in Early Childhood Education from Coastal Carolina University in 1981.  I continued my education at Coastal Carolina where I received my Masters of Early Childhood in 1989.  In 2009 I received an additional 30 hours in Special Education from Francis Marion University.

I have been teaching for 34 years. I began my teaching career at Nichols Elementary in 1982-1996 as a second grade teacher, until the school closed.  Then I transferred to North Mullins Primary in 1996-2015 as a second grade teacher, Reading Interventionist, and later became a Special Education Teacher/Behavior Mode. Inow teach at Marion Intermediate half day in the morning and Easterling Primary half day in the afternoon.

I was raised on a tobacco farm in Mullins with my three sisters. I have two children, Justin-Keith and Samantha.  I recently became a grandmother to a beautiful grandson. During my free time, I will be traveling to see him in Charleston. I enjoy spending time with family and friends and going to the beach.
